Canine Obedience Training Classes
Treasure Coast Kennel Club offers canine obedience training classes. Please contact our Training Coordinator for current and upcoming training sessions. TCKC is pleased to offer all obedience attendees the opportunity to participate in free CGC Testing at the end of each Beginner's Obedience session.

Beginner's Obedience Classes
Basic Obedience Plus Classes
Program: During this six-week course, we will teach you how to train your dog in basic obedience and offer advice on behavior issues. In addition, we will address the requirements, and prepare you for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
Content: This course will focus on basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and recall, as well as exercises to prepare you for the CGC test.
Class Cost: $80.00 for 6 weeks (TCKC members $60). If anyone takes the same class again (2nd, 3rd etc) with the same dog, then the cost will be $45.00, as long as class has availability.

Beginner Obedience Class
Program: During this six-week course, each one-hour class goes beyond the beginner level. Learn more advanced skills, solidify your dogs basic foundation. Work on some of the elements of competition that are good to know whether you plan to compete or not.

Intermediate Obedience Classes
Program: During this eight-week course, we will focus on attention work, heeling along with more advanced work
Pre-requisite: Beginners Obedience
Class Cost: $115 for non-club member; $105 for club member

Drop In Competition Obedience
Program: This is an informal training group that does run thrus and trades training tips. Beginning to advanced trainers are welcome. Handlers must bring a crate so they can leave their dog and assist as a steward or judge for other handlers. Our competition obedience classes are weekly on Thursday beginning at 7:00 pm and cost just $10.00 per week for TCKC Members.
