Treasure Coast Kennel Meetings and Special Programs Information
Our Club meetings are held every 4th Tuesday of each month. We meet at our club house which is located
at 509 Georgia Ave, Fort Pierce, FL . The reason we chose Ft. Pierce for our club house is that it
represents a central location for the 4 counties that the club covers.
We do a variety of activities at the meetings. Sometimes we have quest speakers talking on various
canine subjects. Several times a year, the club combines a social" pot luck dinner" with club activities.
They are always a lot of fun. The camaraderie at the club meetings allow visitors and members to learn
more about the care and training of their dogs from others who have experience the same interests.

January: Tuesday, the 24th at 7:15 PM.

Program:
We will be finalizing our plans for the upcoming Agility Trial. Please come and help us. As you know, it begins on Thursday evening with setting
up the rings and checking in motorhomes. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be the actual Trial and we need volunteers all four days.
Anytime that you can give us is greatly appreciated.
March: Tuesday, the 27th at 6:30 PM.
Program: This is our annual Awards Banquet and it begins
with our potluck dinner. The club provides the main entree and beverages. Please bring a dish
to share. Come and be part of the festivities in recognizing your fellow club members and friends achievements with their dogs this past year.
Enjoy a relaxing evening with us.
April: Tuesday, the 24th at 7:30 PM.
Program: We will be making our final preparations for the
All Breed Show this weekend. Come and help us.
May: Tuesday, the 22nd at 7:15 PM.
Program: The St. Lucie County Sheriff's K-9 Unit will be putting on a demonstration for us.
They did a demo at our Responsible Dog Ownership Day and have graciously agreed to do one at our club.
Be sure to mark this date on your calendar and come support these highly trained officers, both the dogs and their handlers.
It is truly amazing to see them work together as a unit, it is team work at its finest.

September: Tuesday, the 25th at 7:15 PM.
Speaker: Deidre Chitwood - Tellington T Touch an introduction to this technique and real demonstrations on dogs.
Deidre is originally from the UK and a journalist, but her interest in health care, and love for animals drew her into this modality.
She trained for 2 years and was certified in 2005. Go to www.tenderttouch.com for more information.
October: Tuesday the 23rd at 7:30 PM.
Program: Dress up meeting for dogs and owners. A fun night for all - treats for all too!
November: Tuesday, the 13th at 7:15 PM.
Speaker: TBA
December: Thursday, the 6th at 6:30 PM.
Program: Annual Christmas potluck dinner party. The club will provide the main entree. Please bring a yummy dish to share.
After dinner we will have our Doggie Chinese gift exchange. If you would like to participate in it, please bring a dog gift ($ 10.00 value).
This is always alot of fun and laughs. Some gifts get stolen so many times, it is hard to keep track of them.
If you have multiple dogs, and want to take a gift home to each of them, just bring multiple gifts.
There will also be a table decorating contest, so it is a great time to pull out your Christmas decorations and have a very festive looking table.
There is a prize for the best decorated table.
